A+D MUSEUM > Los Angeles 2008 After the Flood: Building on Higher Ground offers a range of architectural responses to the August 2005 devastation in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast wrought by Hurricane Katrina. After its premiere at the U.S. Pavilion at La BIennale di Venezia 2006, the exhibtion and the symposium Sustainable Dialogues has since opened in Bangkok, Panama, and is currently on view at A+D Museum in Los Angeles. In each venue it has generated a dialogue addressing the rebuilding of New Orleans as well as current global issues concerning urban growth, climate change, and disaster relief. Read more |
